FALL 2022 Graduate Theses Exhibition

The Silverman Gallery de-installed the exhibition “WE ARE LA: Contemporary Art from the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation,” curated by Billie Milam Weisman.
The exhibit was astonishingly successful and attracted more than 1200 visitors.

The Silverman Gallery is now preparing the Fall 2022 Graduate Theses Exhibition:
“VIDA VARRIO” by Carlos Virgen focuses on Chicano Culture and History relevant to his personal stories and Chicano Street Art in Los Angeles; and
“CAUTION” by Pae Lopez focuses on the displacement of illegal alien dealing with personal and political uncertainty.
Both artists are completing their MFA Degrees in Studio Arts at Cal State LA, whose works encompass painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, woodwork, media/video, murals, and installation. The exhibition runs through November 16, 2022, and the exhibition reception is on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM.
