Beyond the Act: Ongoing Victories and Challenges for LGBTQ+ Veterans Post-Repeal

CalVet’s Minority Veterans Division will host a webinar to celebrate the 12th anniversary of recognizing the contributions of LGBTQ veterans. The theme for this year's event is "Beyond the Act: Ongoing Victories and Challenges for LGBTQ+ Veterans Post-Repeal." The webinar is being organized in collaboration with State Senator Caroline Menjivar of District 20, Omar Columbus, who serves on the Advisory Board of Poetic Theater Productions' Veteran Voices Program, and the VA LGBTQ Coordinator Care Center. During the webinar, CalVet plans to spotlight LGBTQ individuals who have played a pivotal role in enacting, endorsing, or creating policies, events, and resources that have positively impacted the LGBTQ veteran community.
